an anecdote           
                                          
 today it rained, and i would go  outside 
 i  thought, so i smoked  a pipe  and got 
 dressed,   and  outside   the  rain  had 
 turned  into snow so thick  that it  was 
 as dense fog ... and then  i went to get 
 the mail, but there was  a woman  and we 
 talked a little. now because i  was high 
 and it was snowing  so funny  and  i had 
 an umbrella  against the snow, but  snow 
 all over my face  anyway, and i wondered 
        about myself, and my life
